Top 3 Nevada County Senior Portrait Destinations

Shhhh. Soon everyone will know!

scroll

If you are looking for the absolute best spots to have your high school yearbook photos taken, you are in the right place. It can be nearly impossible to find that perfect destination that you identify with. Lucky for you, I have been a photographer in the Nevada County area for over a decade. I know ALL the best spots.

If there was a one-size-fits-all destination, I am sure it would be overcrowded and over-done (Empire Mine State Park, I am talking about you). That is why I have created a list of beautiful locations that very few people have been photographed in. Locations that fit almost all styles and personalities, too.

If you want access to my personal list of locations, shoot me an email or dm. We will go over them together and talk about your style to make sure we have the perfect spot. If not, we will find it for you! But here are 3 tips on how to find the perfect location for you:

  1. Think about color - The time of year, the weather and elevation all play a huge role in color in your images. What colors are going to look best with your current interior decor? What kind of wardrobe will go with those colors? All of this needs to be answered by YOU if you truly want a special session.

  2. Think about traffic - If you are a shy person, you aren’t going to want to be photographed in a busy destination. Think about how many on-lookers there might be and if you are going to be comfortable in-front of the camera during those moments.

  3. Think about accessibility - If you are going to be photographed with any family members, or even your dog, make sure that we can get them to this destination. Is there parking? Are dogs allowed? Can grandma walk to the destination from the car? All important factors.

So now that you have a few tips to find the perfect location, feel free to reach out to me to get my personal list. I am also happy to answer any questions about your portrait session.
